Timeline:

1969 - Made by Jaguar Cars in Coventry.  XJ6 Series 1, 4.2 litre Saloon in Sable Brown.

1984 - Purchased by Peter Frost. Converted to a Manual box.
Raced in the JDC Series "Road Going Championship".
In its first year the 'BROWN BOMBER', as she was then called, won the Saloon class.
The interior was replaced from Tan to Black and ran with Goodridge tyres.

1986 - Peter decided to go Modified. She was converted to a V12, dry sumped, 10" BFG Comps on Mag. Minilites, .450 lift Cams over a `planed` Big Valve head and Painted black.
Enola gay was born. Winning 6 Championship classes including participation as a member of the Winning '198something' Sir William Lyons Endurance Relay Team.

1988 - Sold to Andrew Dark. Unfortunatly Andrew was hit by unreliablity and bad luck. At Mallory Park he suffered a punture on Lap 3 in the Intermarque AMOC series.
Also during preparation for a race at Donington Park the engine dropped a value. At this point his love for Enola Gay lost its shine.

1991 - Found by Marcus Barclay after left standing outside for 18 months. Marcus stripped and restored her back to some former glory. Removing the Dry Sump system and adding Webber 45 Carburettors. Marcus only ran her in a few races and track days.

2004 - Sold to Kevin Doyle. Kevin has had some very good success with Enola Gay. Winning many races in 2006. Including winning the JEC Powered by Jaguar Championship in 2006.
Enola has had another make over in 2007 and is competing at Daytona International Speedway, Florida this November.
