JEC Powered by Jaguar Championship - Brands Hatch 13th August 2005:

Race 1
Roger Cope in his S-Type (great to see Roger racing here again) was on pole, James Dodd in his D-Type 2nd and Richard Masters in his XJS 3rd. In qualifying Lawrence Coppock had been black and yellow flagged, his XJS had been spilling fuel with an incorrectly tightened filler cap.

When the lights went it was Paul Castaldini in his Jaguar C-Type who had the most bizarre start and finish of the weekend, for he was 6th on the grid and when he put his foot on the gas Paul hit a car in front of him and went into the grass and his race was no more!

Meanwhile James Dodd got off to a blistering start and if it had been a dry track all you would have seen was dust. James went on to win and take Class B by a staggering 46 seconds. He even had time for a spin at Paddock Hill bend to boot!! Steve Davis in his XJS took 2nd and Class (E), Richard Masters was 3rd, only 0,5 seconds behind. Stewart Lyddal started 14th and finished a fine 6th less than a second ahead of Cliff Ryan.

Kevin Doyle in his Enola Gay XJ12 Coupe and Roger Cope both touched at Surtees when they 4th and 5th, Roger finished 15th and Doyle came to the pits at lap 9. Roger Dewden and James Hobden in D-Types both had a good scrap to finish 13th and 14th with only 0.3 seconds between them. Other Class winners were Harry Wyndham (EF), Allen Glover (C) and Lawrence Coppock (D).
