JEC XJS Championship - Brands Hatch 4th October 2003:

The XJS race had no less than 26 cats on the grid for the final race of the season and there were 2 classes to be decided D and F.

Brian Stevens had pole but from the off the brilliant Gary Davis shot into the lead and never looked back taking race and Class G win. Even with the race slowed down for cats that had spun and had to be retrieved thus allowing the pack to move back up to Gary nobody could catch him.

Wayne Parker on lap 2 and Robert McVicar on lap 7 both lost their cats at Paddock Hill Bend, now becoming a notorious black spot. Adam Ashmore finally won Class D championship and Steve Davis took Class F and overall championship.

Commiserations to Gail Hill who also has had an outstanding 2nd season who wanted to finish in the top 3 of her Class D. Gail was 2nd in Class till disaster struck at when she rounded Graham Hill Bend to find Kevin Doyle and David Weaver across the track which ended her progress. We hope she returns next season just as hungry. These fine ladies add a bit of spice to the races and certainly give as good as they get. Other Class winners were Derek Pearce E, Sean Collins D and Steve Davis F.

Another cracking season is on the horizon as these Jaguars become more popular and have proved to be great crowd pleasers. Good luck next season Cats.
